October at South of Shaw

Fall has settled into Fresno, the evenings are cooler (sort of), and we’ve got plenty going on at the pub this month to keep things lively. Here’s what’s happening:

Oktoberfest Wraps Up – Through Saturday, October 4

Our Oktoberfest celebration rolls on until the 4th. We’re still serving up our sausage & onion pizza, a perfect match for a pint. If you bought one of our Oktoberfest steins, remember—you’re getting 20 ounces of beer for the price of 16 until the end of the fest. Bring it in, get it filled, and enjoy the last of the season’s gemütlichkeit.

ArtHop – Thursday, October 2

ArtHop lands on the 2nd, and we’re thrilled to showcase spooky, Halloween-ready work from Valisha Rogers. Her art always sells out, so if you’re a fan of hauntingly beautiful pieces (and want to snag one before they disappear), make sure you swing by. Her work will be hanging all month long, but opening night is the best time to catch her—and the vibe in the Mural District is always electric during ArtHop.

Trivia Tournament – Kicks Off October 7

Trivia nights return with a brand-new six-week tournament starting on the 7th and running until November . Bring your brainiest crew and battle it out for glory. The champions walk away with:

• A $100 gift card

• Custom “Tears of My Trivia Opponents” pint glasses

• Eternal bragging rights with your team’s name engraved on the Golden Brain Trophy

Looking Ahead – Our Second Location

And speaking of what’s ahead—big news for us! We’re opening a second South of Shaw location at the Peacock Market in Clovis, summer 2026. It’ll be a cozier spot with the same beer and pizza you love, and we can’t wait to bring our pub vibes a little closer to our friends in Clovis. We’ll share more details as we get closer, but for now, we’re just excited to let you in on what’s coming.

Halloween at the Pub – Friday, October 31

Halloween falls on a Friday this year, which means it’s going to be a good one. Come dressed up, grab a pint, and celebrate with us. Costumes are encouraged—extra points for creative, spooky, or beer-themed getups.
