Since we opened on January 29th, just over 4 short months ago, It's been a heck of a ride for our little brew pub. Let's toss some numbers out there... over 25,000 beers, 7000 pizzas, and 600 glasses of wine sold! But most importantly, we're putting 17 people to work. I can't tell you how proud I am of that last stat. We have such a great and diverse group of people making this happen. And we are just getting started. We have some great plans for this summer!
So let's talk food! We're continuing to introduce new menu items because we truly feel that breaking bread with your friends and neighbors is one of the greatest pleasures in life. We've been working hard on a new fig & prosciutto pizza for the summer. It's the perfect combination of sweet and savory and I think it's going to be absolutely amazing. We're also hard at work developing some appetizers for you. Keep an eye out for a delicious bruschetta plate, and some fresh prosciutto & melon skewers. I really think these are going to be a super tasty offering for those who just want a light and delicious bite to eat in lieu of, or as the start of a full meal.
On the beer front we continue to keep the brewhouse busy! We are replenishing the ever popular Berliner Weisse and next week we'll be brewing the amazingly popular Flying Chancla again. I see this one definitely becoming a staple. I also have a new NEIPA going on tap next week, and we're starting to plan for Oktoberfest! I'm going to make a special lager for the season. Also, if I ever get time, I have a nice easy drinking saison I plan on brewing. Lastly we're excited to be entering three beers into the Great American Brew Festival in Colorado, the biggest brew festival in the USA. So we'll be crossing our fingers for some medals!
Next, I want to talk about entertainment. We started doing movie nights (with fresh popcorn!) on Monday and it's been a fun and entertaining way to spend a Monday night. On Wednesdays we have started doing something we like to call The Wednesday Jam! We've had several great music acts and DJ's gracing our space and showing everyone a good time. Keep an eye on our socials for the latest acts coming in! I'm most excited though about our new partnership with King Trivia! Starting Tuesday, July 12th, we will have our very own weekly trivia night hosted by King Trivia! It's free to play and we'll be giving away gift cards and other prizes every week. You can play by yourself, or better yet, form a team! It's gonna be a super fun way to spend an evening with your friends and neighbors so don't miss it!
Finally, I want to mention that we are committed to helping our community. We've already partnered with Valley Public Television, The Fresno Philharmonic, Valley Childrens Hospital, Central Valley Community Foundation, WeCanGolf for children with autism, Fresno Downtown Association, Fresno Chamber of Commerce, Clovis Rotary Club, Duncan Polytechnic High School Photography Club, Bullard Talent K-8 School, Fresno Downtown Academy, Clovis Hills Community Church, and the Babes on Broadway Charities. Whew!!! And now we've partnered with Kicks for Kids, a wonderful charity that provides new shoes and backpacks for disadvantaged kids in our neighborhoods so they can start the school year properly equipped. We have a collection bin at our brewery, so please, go buy a new pair of shoes or backpack and drop them by.
