Hope everyone is enjoying the spring, even though we had a little warm flash last week. Lots happening this month so let's get to it!
Patio Update
The city started working on the space we plan to use for our patio last Monday and they are almost finished already! The stamped concrete is in, the planters are done, the bark is down. It's looking fantastic! We are expecting the bike racks and trash cans to be installed within the next week. All that's left to do is button up the permitting, which can take a while since we have multiple agencies to work with, but we're confident that we'll all be having a beer and a pizza in the new space by summertime!
In the meantime though, we have been working on our cafe tables which will be set up against the building, and we are expecting the ABC to sign off very soon. As soon as it's done, we'll send out an email so you can all come and help us celebrate!
New Beers!
We have new beers on tap this month. We went back to basics to create a good old fashioned IPA and we're calling it Hero of the Day. Bittered with Magnum and dry hopped with Chinook, Cascade and Azacca, this is a west coast just like the ones we all fell in love with back when craft beer was just kicking off.
We've also brought back Summer Wheatley just in time for the nice weather. This American Wheat beer is easy drinking, fruit and spice forward, and goes great with an orange slice on the rim.
May Events
May 4th is Star Wars Day, and also ArtHop! We'll be in costume and we'll have some cool Star Wars memorabilia hanging around the pub. Also, the art of Julie Raymer will be adorning our walls for the whole month! Come out and join in the fun!
May 6th is the 1 year anniversary of our Flying Chancla cerveza! We've got a killer new Mexican inspired pizza designed by our master pizzaiolo David Hernandez on the menu, we're playing chancla cornhole on the new patio, DJ Boomerang will be here all the afternoon spinning the turntables, and we'll be slinging micheladas all day long! Don't miss the party!
May 20th, Sydnie returns to the stage! Our very own Sydnie will be grabbing the guitar and doing a killer set of soulful covers and originals as she always does. She's going on at 9, so come early to grab some dinner and a drink and save your seat! She always packs the house!
