Happy Chancla-versary!

It's May, the weather is beautiful and there's lots going on at your neighborhood pub! But first, I want to apologize for not publishing an April newsletter. It's spring which means lots of festivals and events and the time just got away from us! But enough about that, let's talk about May!

It's ArtHop tonight! That's right, the first thursday of every month is ArtHop and we have the lovely art of Denise McGill gracing the pub walls. Denise will be onsite so I encourage everyone to come out and talk to her about her process. She's an amazing artist.

It's also our Chancla-versary! That's right, our flagship cerveza, the Flying Chancla was first debuted two years ago on Cinco De Mayo, and so we're celebrating this amazing beer all month long! Chef David has come up with a delicious Pollo Verde pizza as well that we'll be running all month. It features our signature crust topped with black beans and savory chicken in a tomatillo-chile verde sauce, finished with a sprinkle of cheese and  fresh cilantro. It's really something special! So come in this weekend and enjoy the festivities!

I want to call out a few more very special events this month. On May 9th, we will be holding a Historic Fresno Pub Quiz to celebrate National Historic Preservation Month! We will also be tapping a very special collaboration Pilsner with the Central Valley Brewers Guild that night, so don't miss it! Next, on May 18th, we will have our first Cigar Day on the Patio! Blowin' Smoke Mobile Cigar Lounge will be at the pub helping you pick that perfect stick to pair with your favorite South of Shaw beer! It's going to be a lot of fun and advance tickets that will get you a discount on your first cigar and beer will be on sale soon! As always, we have trivia, karaoke, bingo, paint night and so much more every month so be sure to bookmark our calendar page for everything that's happening at the pub!

OK lastly, I will leave you with this; Remember last year we did that super rad collaboration with Finne Brewery from our sister city, Münster, Germany? Well, Doug just returned from a trip to our sister city in Mexico with delegates from the City of Fresno, and that's all I'm going to say about that. Stay tuned!

See you at the pub! ~ Dana
