Hey all, just a quick note to let you know what's going down at South of Shaw in August! The heat is relentless and there's no better place to hang out than in an air conditioned pub full of fun, pizza and beer!
Pizza
First up, we have a new pizza! We're calling it the Hot Honey Chicken, and it's marvelous! Start with a rich garlic sauce on our fresh, hand stretched dough. Top it with whole milk mozzarella, and a touch of gorgonzola. Next, pile on some tasty grilled chicken, and chopped fresh green onions. Finally, drizzle on some deliciously sweet and spicy Mike's Hot Honey, and you have a delicious pizza that pairs perfectly with any of our hand crafted beers.
Beer
Speaking of beers, We just introduced a delicious Irish Red Ale you may have seen when we first opened and it's called Punk Rock Red! Yes, it's back! It's malty, sweet and easy to drink thanks to it's 5.2% ABV. We also just released a collaboration with Crow & Wolf Brewing called Just for Kicks! It's a super light summer beer perfect for a hot day in the sun. Come grab a can today!
Events
We have a lot going on in August!
Every Monday is Movie Monday night at South of Shaw! We pull out the big screen, make some free popcorn, and play a movie favorite! It's a great time to come and chill.
Tuesday nights are Trivia Night with King Trivia! We just completed our second night and it was a blast! We have comedian Tony Le acting as quizmaster and last week we had NINE TEAMS! It's already getting serious at South of Shaw! Also, it's completely free to play, and the top three teams get South of Shaw gift cards!
Wednesday nights are music nights at South of Shaw and we have a heck of a line up this month!
August 4 - Karey Nickel - Solo piano artist playing all the classics.
August 10 - Sydnie Brazile - Singer / songwriter performing soulful covers and originals.
August 17 - The Ex's - Featuring guitarist Fernando and vocalist Karley, they will blow you away.
August 24 - Vince Warner - Banging out the classics from the 60's, 70's and more!
August 31 - DJ Boomerang - A house favorite, spinning vinyl from the Motown era.
All shows start at 7:30pm!
Lastly, we have a few special events happening. Saturday, August 20 is Bingo Night with Fresno Social Sports! We're still planning this, so more info to come, but it should be a great time! Then Wednesday 31 is the Fleet Feet Pub Run. If you like to run, or are thinking about running, drop on by. The Brooks shoes rep will be providing free fittings, there will be a run through downtown, and then beer and pizza afterward! Great fun!
